Clinical Neuropsychology
Neuropsychology is the study of the relationship between the brain and behaviour. Clinical Neuropsychology is the application of this study to clinical cases. The neuropsychological assessment involves the use of standardised tests of cognitive functioning and can provide information about organic changes. Neuropsychological assessment with children is a particular speciality within the wider field of neuropsychology. It requires the use of specialist assessment tools and interpretation of data with knowledge of normal child development.
