About Us

Therapy for Children is a private practice founded in 1995.  It was established to provide therapeutic services for children who are not achieving the developmental milestones expected for their age.

It combines the expertise of experienced Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Dietitian, Social Worker and Technical Specialists whose goal is to meet the needs of your child.

Those who work at Therapy for Children are recognised in their fields for their excellent neurodevelopment, therapeutic, technical and professional skills.

Therapy for Children assessments and intervention draw from current research with programmes chosen according to your child's speech, language, social, cognitive, sensory and motor development.

We are:

• Comprehensive -   offering Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Therapy, Physiotherapy, Clinical/Neuropsychology, Educational Psychology, Dietitian and Social Worker.
• Individualised - working with you to establish your child's goals and create an individualised programme to meet their unique requirements.
• Accredited - all team members belong to their respective professional accrediting boards, maintain current registration and ongoing professional development.
• Family centred - working with parents, whanau and caregivers to create home programmes to reinforce and further develop your child's skills and confidence in everyday life.
• Community Oriented -  communication with teachers, doctors, nurses or others involved with your child to ensure that your child's goals are being met.
